Jotty S. Johnson was born on January 30, 1923. He served in the 1330th Army Air Force Base Unit as a Private First Class and Radio Operator of an aircraft during World War II. Jotty died on August 10, 1945 and is now buried in the West End Cemetery, Stephenville, Erath County, Texas, USA. He was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China.
