Norbert Kryszak was born on December 9, 1917. He was the son of Edward John Kryszak and Helen Glaszczak Kryszak. He served in the Station 11, Air Transport Command as a Staff Sergeant and Crew Chief of an aircraft during World War II. Norbert died on May 28, 1944 at the age of 26 and is now buried in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, Honolulu County, Hawaii, USA. He was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China but death date is inscribed as 1944-05-27.
