Raymond Loew was born on December 6, 1923. He served in the US Air Corps as a Private First Class and Radio Operator of an aircraft during World War II. Private First Class Loew was killed in the crash of C-46A Commando #41-12325 in the China-Burma-India theater of operations. Three other airmen aboard also perished. He is now buried in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, Honolulu County, Hawaii, USA. He was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China.
