He served in the 425th Bomber Squadron, 308th Bomber Group, Heavy as a Second Lieutenant and Navigator of an aircraft during World War II. He was missing on August 9, 1944 but was declared dead by the military on February 25, 1946. His name is commemorated on the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.
