Jack E. Miller was born on April 15, 1921. He served in the 425th Bomber Squadron, 308th Bomber Group, Heavy as a Staff Sergeant during World War II. He died on January 25, 1944 at the age of 22 and is now buried in the Oakwood Cemetery, Macon, Macon County, Missouri, USA. Jack was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China.
