Raymond W. Milner was born on June 29, 1924. He was the son of Harry Webster Milner and Elsie Cecelia Romay Milner. He served in the 1327th Army Air Force Base Unit, Air Transport Command as a Sergeant and Radio Operator of an aircraft during World War II. Raymond died on November 11, 1944 at the age of 20 and is now buried in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, Lemay, St. Louis County, Missouri, USA. He was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China.
