Willie Otto Ozment was born on April 14, 1922. He served in the 373rd Bomber Squadron, 308th Bomber Group, Heavy as a Staff Sergeant during World War II. He died on September 15, 1943 at the age of 21 and is now buried in the Olton Cemetery, Olton, Lamb County, Texas, USA. Ssgt Ozment was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China.
