Jack K. Palmer was born in 1922. He was the son of Edgar J. Palmer and Daisy Kirk Palmer. He served in the US Air Corps as a Second Lieutenant and Navigator of an aircraft during World War II. He was Killed in Action on August 25, 1943 in China and is now buried in the Westlawn-Hillcrest Memorial Park, Omaha, Douglas County, Nebraska, USA. 2Lt Palmer was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China.
