Robert Paul Pringle was born on May 20, 1923. He was the son of David Purdy Pringle and Harriet Lavinia Milligan Morris. He served in the 1330th Army Air Force Base Unit as a Second Lieutenant and Co-Pilot of an aircraft during World War II. 2Lt Pringle died on August 10, 1945 at the age of 22 and is now buried in the Acacia Masonic Memorial Park Cemetery, Mayfield Heights, Cuyahoga County, Ohio, USA. He was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China.
