Jack A. Raymond was born on November 8, 1918. He served in the 792nd Bomber Squadron, 468th Bomber Group as a Technical Sergeant and Radio Operator of an aircraft during World War II. Jack died on October 1, 1944 at the age of 25 and is now buried in the Boardman Cemetery, Boardman, Mahoning County, Ohio, USA. He was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China but death date is inscribed as 1944-09-30.
