David Niel Renshaw was born on November 4, 1922 in New Mexico. He was the son of William Randolph Renshaw and Nena Burton Warnock Renshaw. He served in the 78th Transport Squadron, 22nd Air Transport Group as a Second Lieutenant during World War II. He died on September 21, 1943 at the age of 20 and is now buried in the Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery, Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona, USA. 2Lt Renshaw was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China.
