Jack L. Roberts served in the US Air Corps as a First Lieutenant during World War II. He was the radar operator aboard U.S. Army Air Corps B-29-45-BW Superfortress #42-24715. He was Killed In Action when his bomber was rammed by a Japanese fighter on a mission over Mukden, Manchuria. He is now buried in the Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Arlington County, Virginia, USA in a common grave with his crew. 1Lt Roberts was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China.
