Clarence J. Robinson was born on October 29, 1915. He resided in Harvey County, Kansas prior to the war. Clarence served as a First Lieutenant and Pilot on B-24D #42-40930, 425th Bomber Squadron, 308th Bomber Group, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II. Clarence was "Killed In Action" when his B-24 was shot down and crashed near Hankow, China during the war. He was originally interred in Schofield Barracks Mausoleum #2, Hawaii and was later interred in the Zachary Taylor National Cemetery, Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky, USA on May 12, 1949 together with his crew.

1Lt Robinson was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China.
