Vincent E. Radosta was born on June 18, 1917. He served in the US Air Corps as a Master Sergeant and Crew Chief of an aircraft during World War II. He died on August 17, 1944 at the age of 27 and is now buried in the Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield, Sangamon County, Illinois, USA. Msgt Radosta was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China but his surname is inscribed as Rodosta.
