Paul Albert Scheetz was born on April 3, 1925 to Aloysius Scheetz and Cecilia Agnes Mary Losemann Scheetz. He served in the 5331st Air Supply Dropping Platoon as a Private and food dropper in an aircraft during World War II. He died on September 1, 1944 at the age of 19 and is now buried in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, Honolulu County, Hawaii, USA. He also has a cenotaph located in Saint John's Cemetery, Hanover, Washington County, Kansas. Pvt Scheetz was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China.
