Theodore G. Sisak was born on April 16, 1921 in Mahanoy City, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Michael Sisak and Mary Mirolovicz Sisak. He served in the US Air Corps as a Staff Sergeant and Radio Operator of an aircraft during World War II. Staff Sergeant Sisak died on July 14, 1945 at the age of 24 in Kachin State, Myanmar and is now buried in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, Lemay, St. Louis County, Missouri, USA in a common grave with 1Lt Gordon. Staff Sergeant Sisak was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China.
