Max Streicker was born on August 5, 1907 in New York. He served in the 1327th Army Air Force Base Unit, Air Transport Command as a Corporal and Radio Operator of an aircraft during World War II. Cpl Streicker died on December 5, 1944 at the age of 37 in Assam, India and is now buried in the Long Island National Cemetery, East Farmingdale, Suffolk County, New York, USA. He was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China.
