Eugene Sullivan was born on August 24, 1923 in Maryland. He resided in Baltimore County, Maryland prior to the war. He enlisted in the Army on March 15, 1943 in Baltimore, Maryland. He was noted as being employed as a Office Clerk and also as Single, without dependents. Eugene served as a Corporal and Assistant Engineer of an aircraft in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II. He was Killed in Action on February 7, 1945 at the age of 21 and is now buried in the Baltimore National Cemetery, Baltimore, Baltimore City, Maryland, USA. Corporal Sullivan was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China.
