Arthur Earl Walton was born on April 17, 1914 in Ohio. He served in the US Army Air Forces as a First Lieutenant and Co-Pilot of an aircraft during World War II. He was Killed in Action on November 8, 1944 at the age of 30 and is now buried in the Saint Mary's Cemetery, Martins Ferry, Belmont County, Ohio, USA. 1Lt Walton was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China.
