Inman A. Watson, Jr. entered the military service in Georgia. He served in the India-China Wing, Air Transport Command as a Sergeant and Radio Operator of an aircraft during World War II. He was declared "Missing in Action" on May 5, 1945 and is commemorated on the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.
