Floyd E. Webster was born in 1921. He was the son of William George Webster and Florence E. Olin Webster. He enlisted in the 14th Army Air Corps and served as a Staff Sergeant during World War II. He died on February 6, 1944 and is now buried in the Port Leyden Cemetery, Port Leyden, Lewis County, New York, USA. Ssgt Webster was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China.
