Robert Edgar Beauchamp was born on August 7, 1920 in Alliance, Jackson County, Florida. He served in the US Air Corps as a Second Lieutenant during World War II. He died on December 10, 1943 at the age of 23 in Hunan, China and is now buried in the Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola, Escambia County, Florida, USA. 2Lt Beauchamp was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945.
