Anthony Donabedian was born in 1918. He resided in New York County, New York prior to the war. He enlisted in the Army Air Corps on April 23, 1941, prior to the war, in New York City, New York. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a Actor and also as Single, without dependents. Anthony served as a First Lieutenant and Pilot on C-87 #41-23669, 3rd Squadron, 1st Ferry Group, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

C-87 #41-23669 took off, with a crew of 6, from Yangkai, China on a cargo mission to Chabua, India. After take off this C-87 was not heard from or seen again and the entire crew went missing. Anthony was declared "Missing In Action" on this mission. His name is commemorated on the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.

1Lt Donabedian was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is also commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China.
