Alfred F. Dragon was born on August 15, 1918. He served in the 29th Transport Group as a Private First Class and Radio Operator of an aircraft during World War II. He died on December 13, 1943 at the age of 25 and is now buried in the Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno, San Mateo County, California, USA. CPL Dragon was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China.
