Thomas Wayne Kendall was born on December 10, 1921. He served in the US Army Air Forces as a Flight Officer during World War II. He died on June 11, 1944 at the age of 22 and is now buried in the Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno, San Mateo County, California, USA. F/O Kendall was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China.
