Norman H. Price was born in 1910. He enlisted in the service 18 Frebruary 1942 at Fort Lauderdale, Florida. At that time, he has completed four years of college, he was single, with no dependents, and worked as a county farm agent in his civil life. He served in the 425th Bomber Squadron, 308th Bomber Group, Heavy as a Staff Sergeant and Radio Operator of a B-24 aircraft during World War II.

B-24D #42-40069 ‘The Pregnant Swan' and its crew were lost on the Hump on 20 March 1943 while enroute from Pandaveswar, India to Kunming, China. It was assigned to the 14th Air Force and was on its original flight to Kunming to begin work in China. The plane had been cleared from Chabua, India to Kunming, but the location when it encountered problems and the nature of the loss are unknown. There were no survivors, Norman was declared Missing in Action. His name is commemorated on the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.

Ssgt Price was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is also commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China.
