Horace Greeley Robertson was born on September 2, 1922 in Seminole County, Oklahoma. He attended Wewoka High School. He enlisted into the US Army Air Corps on December 28, 1942 and made the rank of Staff Sergeant. Horace died in action on a combat mission attacking enemy installations in the vicinity of Suhsien, Anhwei Province in China on March 10, 1945. He is now buried in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, Honolulu County, Hawaii, USA.

Ssgt Robertson was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China.
