Gilbert R. Schowengerdt was born in 1922. He served in the US Army Air Forces as a Second Lieutenant during World War II. He died on April 18, 1945 and is now buried in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park (Glendale), Glendale, Los Angeles County, California, USA. 2Lt Schowengerdt was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945.
