Joseph Schwartz was born in 1913. He served in the 302nd Squadron, 30th Transport Group as a Second Lieutenant and Co-Pilot of an aircraft during World War II. He was Killed in Action on November 18, 1943 in China and is now buried in the Westlawn Cemetery, Norridge, Cook County, Illinois, USA. 2Lt Schwartz was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945.
