Eugene Benjamin Smith was born on July 4, 1918 in Illinois. He served in the 4th Combat Cargo Squadron as a Technical Sergeant and Engineer of an aircraft during World War II. He died on July 30, 1945 at the age of 27 and is now buried in the Dunlap Cemetery, Dennison, Clark County, Illinois, USA.
