John P. “Jack” Hoschar was born on 21 January 1922. Pilot of the B-25 s/n 43-27783 6T that took off from Alesan in Corsica and flew in formation as the number 4 plane in the first box on the way to France. Just before dropping its bomb load, it was hit by flak on the left wing, between the fuselage and the motor. The plane lost the wing and was quickly engulfed in flames. The crew had no chance to escape the falling plane and all six of them perished. He is buried in the same grave with 1LT Ottavio and TSgt Alldredge.
