When Paul N Frangis was born on March 28, 1925, in Manchester, New Hampshire, his father, Nicholas, was 35 and his mother, Artemis, was 23. He had two brothers and one sister. Paul enlisted in the Army on July 8, 1943 in New Hampshire. He was one of the Greek-American volunteers who served in Company C, 2671 Special Reconnaissance Battalion, an OSS operational group. This "Greek Battalion" aided the Greek armed resistance in 1944 in their fight against the occupying and then withdrawing German Army. He died on March 17, 2007, in his hometown at the age of 81. His current burial place is unknown.
