Tom P. Georgalos was born on September 11, 1924. He was one of the Greek-American volunteers who served in Company C, 2671 Special Reconnaissance Battalion, an OSS operational group. This "Greek Battalion" aided the Greek armed resistance in 1944 in their fight against the occupying and then withdrawing German Army. Tom died on January 29, 1992 at the age of 67 and is now buried in the Garden of Memories, Salinas, Monterey County, California, USA.
