Alexander G. Katsias was born on February 24, 1924. He was one of the Greek-American volunteers who served in Company C, 2671 Special Reconnaissance Battalion, an OSS operational group. This "Greek Battalion" aided the Greek armed resistance in 1944 in their fight against the occupying and then withdrawing German Army. Alexander died on May 11, 2004 at the age of 80 and is now buried in the Cadillac Memorial Gardens East, Clinton Township, Macomb County, Michigan, USA. His rank is Corporal on his headstone.
