James A. Tsolas was born on August 23, 1913 in Greece. He was one of the Greek-American volunteers who served in Company C, 2671 Special Reconnaissance Battalion, an OSS operational group. This "Greek Battalion" aided the Greek armed resistance in 1944 in their fight against the occupying and then withdrawing German Army. James died on February 8, 2009 at the age of 95 and is now buried in the Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill, Hartford County, Connecticut, USA.
