Paul G. Santos was born on 10 September 1916 in New York. He served in the 335th Fighter Squadron, 4th Fighter Group, as a First Lieutenant during World War II.
On 6 February 1945, he was last seen over Nordhausen during form up
below overcast after strafing an airdrome. When the section came out on top, he was not in sight. His aircraft (P-51 Mustang #44-15615), was struck by flak and crashed near Kirchgandern, Germany.
1Lt Santos is now buried in the Long Island National Cemetery, East Farmingdale, Suffolk County, New York, USA.
