George Zalesky was born on November 11, 1907. He was the son of George Zalesky and Anne Dolak Zalesky. He was married to Lucille Marie Listebarger Zalesky.
Pvt Zalesky was assigned as Rifleman (Military Occupation Specialty 745) in Company C, 48th Infantry Battalion, 7th Armored Division during World War II. He was Killed in Action on November 4, 1944, near Ospel, Netherlands, and he is now buried in the Czech National Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, Linn County, Iowa, USA.
