Darrell D. Richards was the son of Ermadel Clevenger Fisher. He entered military service in California and served in the 41st Armored Infantry Regiment, 2nd Armored Division, as a Private during World War II. He died on September 19, 1944, and is now buried in the Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery, Hombourg, Belgium. Pvt Richards was one of the 65 soldiers killed in battle during the liberation of the Limburg region of the Netherlands and Belgium.
