Lawrence R. Shannon was born on February 28, 1921. He served in the 753rd Bomber Squadron, 458th Bomber Group, Heavy, as a Second Lieutenant and Pilot on the B-24 #44-40281 "A Dog's Life” during World War II. He was Killed in Action during a training mission on February 13, 1945, in Old Catton, England.
