Richard B. Warren entered military service in Connecticut. He served in the 359th Fighter Squadron, 356th Fighter Group, as a Second Lieutenant and Pilot of the P-47 #42-74673 'Carmen ' 'Ich Brauche Du' during World War II. He was Killed in Action on April 26, 1944, in an aircraft accident near Woodbridge, Suffolk, England, on return from an operational mission.

2Lt Warren is now buried in the Cambridge American Cemetery, Cambridge, United Kingdom.
