Henry A. Kovaleski was born on September 18, 1921, in Nanticoke, Pennsylvania. He was the son of John Kovaleski and Mary Kovaleski (later Ziolkowski).
Henry enlisted in the U.S. Army on September 19, 1942, at Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. He served in the 289th Infantry Regiment, 75th Infantry Division, as a Private during World War II. He was Killed in Action on December 25, 1944, in/near Grandménil, Belgium. Pvt Kovaliseki is now buried in the Gettysburg National Cemetery, Gettysburg, Adams County, Pennsylvania, USA.
