Adolf J. Kroisenbacher was born on November 26, 1938, in Austria, but immigrated to Canada in 1960. He lived in Montreal, Quebec, and then moved west in 1961 to Montmartre, Saskatchewan.
In 1968, Adolf decided to join the U.S. Marines for three years. He enlisted in Spokane and took basic training at San Diego from April 8th to June 4th, 1968. LCpl Kroisenbacher was a member of the 3rd Marine Division in Vietnam from early September 1968 until his death on March 7, 1969. He died from multiple fragmentation wounds in a hostile incident in Quảng Ngãi, Vietnam.
