Donald William Morin was born on February 26, 1949. He was the son of Louis Leon Morin and Jeannette A. Bissonnette Morin.
L/CPL Donald William Morin was killed in action as the result of the crash of a CH-46 helicopter of HMM-161 in South Vietnam. He was a crew chief/gunner. The crew was on a medical flight coming in for a landing at Phu Bi when they struck a mountain top.
