Frank J. Somers was born on June 24, 1936, in the Netherlands and immigrated to Canada in 1960.
In 1961, Frank joined the US Army. At the time of his death, he was serving as an Infantryman in the 1st Cavalry Regiment. He was killed in Vietnam on January 25, 1967, possibly by friendly fire. He is now buried in the Netherlands.
