Thomas Murray Williams was born on April 27, 1928, in St. Catharines, Niagara Regional Municipality, Ontario, Canada. He was the son of Thomas A. Williams.
Thomas Murray arrived in Vietnam on April 21, 1966, where he was assigned to and served with A Battery, 5th Battalion, 27th Artillery, 101sth Airborne Division, USARV, as a Cannon Fire Direction Specialist. On July 18, 1966, Sgt William suffered a cardiac arrest causing his death.
