William Davidson Lillico was born on July 26, 1920, in Scotland. He was the son of Walter D. and Gertrude Creswell Lillico, of New York City.
William served in the #419 Moose Squadron of the Royal Canadian Air Force as a Pilot Officer during World War II. He was Killed in Action on May 25, 1944, when his Lancaster aircraft # KB 706 was shot down at Tilburg-Kronsstraat, The Netherlands, during night operations, an attack against Aachen, Germany.
