Nap King Perry was born on December 28, 1916. He was the son of William Eli Perry and Ethel Jordan Perry.

Nap served in the #16 Operational Training Unit of the Royal Canadian Air Force as a Flying Officer during World War II. On January 25, 1944, his crew took off from RAF Upper Heyford on a leaflet-dropping operation over Granville, France. Shot down by flak, his Wellington # BK 501 aircraft crashed at sea near Cherbourg.
