John Robert Nee was born on April 10, 1913, in Richland Center, Richland County, Wisconsin. He was the son of Thomas A. Nee and Lucy P. Brewer Nee.
He served in the Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division as a Corporal during World War II. He was Killed in Action on August 2, 1944, during the Battle for Guam.
