Stanley Preston Peters was born on February 25, 1922, in Maine. He was the son of Linwood O. Peters and Ruth Madeline Towles Peters.
He served in Company A, 1st Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, 1st Provisional Marine Brigade as a Corporal during World War II. He was Killed in Action on July 26, 1944, during the Battle for Guam.
