Allen Keith Sanders was born on April 19, 1925, in Medaryville, Pulaski County, Indiana. He was the son of Ozie Leonard Sanders and Ferry Mae Ballard Sanders.
He served in Company L, 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division as a Private First Class during World War II. He was Killed in Action on July 21, 1944, during the Battle for Guam.
